While Italy was packed with events scheduled one after another (5 cities in 6 days!), my friend and I decided to take off to Paris for 3 days. 3 days in Paris is no good, especially when you have lofty goals of accomplishing all the places you read about in Edible Adventures in Paris. But I managed to do a whole bunch of things I’d planned and finally check off Paris from my 2010 goals. Here’s a look at my 3 days in Paris.
- Ate a cheesy tartine for breakfast on my first morning with a raspberry tart and then an apple tart. Yes, sweets must always out-number the savories.
- Did all sorts of tourist-y things with my friend, Kainaz.
- Had nutella crêpes from a street side stall.
- Bought lots of Paris photo cards.
- Took a walking tour. More tourist-y fun.
- Ate Chausson aux Pommes at Poilâne and then brought back some of his famous bread.
- Met my friend, Geehae. She’s a pastry chef and she makes the best apple tarte tatin.
- Shopped at Mora and G. Detou (the reason why I almost missed my flight).
- Ate piping hot udon soup with shrimp tempura.
I couldn’t capture other times, because my camera was safely tucked into my bag (rainy weather). Or the battery died when I had the creamiest hot chocolate. Or I was just plain greedy and forgot all about photographing my gorgeous Pierre Herme Ispahan or my fromage blanc with raspberries.
Maybe next time!
