Arjun and I were in Valencia, Spain for a family wedding. In between events we sneaked out to the market. And what a treat that was. The freshest produce. The pinkest of prawns. The juiciest winter tomatoes. Glorious. I bought back almonds and chufa (tiger nuts) to remind me of the horchata we bought in pails by the litre.
I came back wanting/feeling three things:
– A desire to cook a pumpkin right under the grill, just like they did at the market-
– Cook with fresh herbs more than I do (but somehow, in London, I forget all about it because buying herbs in packets is a sad reality)
– a new love for winter tomatoes
