Let me begin by telling you what Blogging by Mail is. It is an event hosted byStephanie at Dispensing Happiness where everyone send in their names, addresses, blog and food stuff they particularly like or dislike. After collecting all these, she will match people up – and my is she good at that! Everyone who has participated can swear by this skill of hers. And in the end everyone receives a package and everyone has to send a package. This time’s theme is “Little things Mean A Lot” – everyone had to pick cost friendly things.
So that was about the event. This is the first time I signed up for this event and I’m so glad I did! Lynne over at Café Lynnylu (love her food photographs!) sent me a super cool package all the way from Georgia, USA and I cannot stop gushing! It arrived while I was at work, so I couldn’t wait to get back home. And while I thought I was the only one excited, my dad couldn’t help himself from grabbing a couple of things from the box! Not exactly how I had planned on discovering my goodies. Anyway, I was too excited to be bothered.
On opening the box, I found the things neatly wrapped in a beautiful green paper with the card on top. I love the card! It said “ Good cooks never lack friends” She said that she had put together bunch of things that she thought I might not have tried before. And she was so right about that! Thank you so much Lynne!
So what did I get?
- Aavocado slicer – I love collecting kitchen tools. And this is something I’ve never seen before.
- Bell’s seasoning – a blend of rosemary, oregano, ginger, sage, marjoram, thyme and pepper. How did she know I absolutely love herbs?
- A cute little white pouch.
- Mixed dried cherries, cranberries and blueberries – love them!
- Silicone bands – I collect silicone ware and this is the perfect addition to my collection!
- Chipotle Taco Beef Seasoning – I have been looking for a Chipotle seasoning here and have failed to find any. The closest I came to it was a chipotle flavoured mayo! Thanks Lynne!
- Chili lime spice rub – can’t wait to try this!
- Scharffen Berger 62% cacoa chocolate with roasted cacoa nibs – have to eat this while no one is around.
- Tangerine flavoured jelly beans – I have heard quite a bit about this and finally got to try these!
- Soup socks – now I can make clear broths!
- A bottle bag that insulates and keeps the bottle chilled.
I love everything you’ve sent Lynne – Thank you! You put in so much thought into this package and it shows. You really made my day. Thanks Stephanie for organizing this. You are truly dispensing happiness!
