Food aside, what charmed me the most in Italy were the windows. Pretty windows. Colourfuls windows. Happy windows.
Every window, has a personality of its own: colours ranging from pastels to solid, wispy drapes to blinds, potted flowers to leafy vines. My favourite of course, was the one adorned with fruits and wine. Wondering why the fruits and wine are kept out on the window sill? To put the chilly weather to use and save refrigerator space. Too bad it wasn’t within an arm’s reach.
This trip to Italy was sponsored by the Italian Government and the EU as a part of the European Art of Taste (EAT) Program.

Hi! I couldn’t believe your photos of pretty windows. I have so many similar pictures-most recently on the Island of Krk in Croatia. You have to go there someday! It is worth the journey.
