There was a stall that sold a variety of Rajhastani pickles; I bought two types of these: red chilli and dry mango. I’m not too fond of pickles that are preserved in too much oil. These are very high on spices and that’s what makes it so much more fun!
I also got some Pudina (mint) paratha masala. This is so fragrant and versatile that it can be teamed up with a variety of foods. A dash of it with yoghurt or hummus, or even in a drink would make a wonderful difference. I sampled some Maille whole ground mustard sauce and it was so good that I had to get myself a bottle. Oh and I also got some lip smacking tamarind candy.
There was a stall that sold very useful kitchen gadgets. From there I got myself a cake knife, poultry shears, silicone spatuala and brush, and some icing stencils in all my favourite shapes (heart, butterfly, flower and star
). I also wanted a new garlic press because mine gave way, but just I reached, the last one sold out.
My sister loved the Prabhat cheese and onion sausages as well as the Chicken bacon, so we bought some of that. We also bought some Dr. Oetker’s Chocolate Muesli that she liked.
I was so pleased with my new possessions that I had to create some space in my cabinet for the new goodies. So the rest of the evening was spent rearranging my new things.
