This is my first time baking anything other than fairy cakes. I want to get the recipe right. For the ingredients such as the yeast. Is it an 1/8 teaspoon or 1 1/8 teaspoon?

i tried to follow the recipe but it all went wrong, they where soggy and when i put them in the bath they fell apart, put on a kitchen towel and all of it stuck together, i had to throw 5 out of 6 away, the one i put in the oven went into a pancake shaped pretzel, did not go brown, best pretzel i have ever eaten… i will send you my recipe if you would like to try it.

Yes, it’s just for the glaze. You can omit it for not-so-shiny pretzels that taste just as great.
